catching up on life

hi folks! (as if i actually have readers) sem break's over and gone and it's back to back-breaking schoolwork. i'm really excited about taking zialcita's culture and the senses class though. consider our curriculum: smelling sessions (herbs, spices, cigars, coffee, fragrances), drinking sessions (wine and beer tasting) and eating sessions (at cafe ysabel). i LOVE him. *le sigh*

sem break was fun but all too short, as it usually is. i was out almost everyday and it felt great to be doing something other than schoolwork. i didn't get to go to the beach though but it will soon be remedied by my acp in anilao, batangas. yay! :)

i've always been a geeky kid. my gradeschool life was spent in the school library reading mythology and c.s. lewis. at age 11, on my first (and so far only) visit to the states, i enjoyed the met museum in new york better than disneyworld and all the other theme parks. in highschool, i loved my english classes and got accused of plagiariasm because my essay was "too good", as opposed to my teacher's expectations. freshman year in college, i stayed with my lola and tita on abada street and, not being particularly close them, i bought a new book every week. i joined heights in sophomore year, became deputy sec gen the following year, annd finally took over the prod staff (and the title "goddess") this year. now, who else spends most of her waking hours in the pub room?

anyway, my point in saying all this is to prepare you for my announcement: i am currently minoring in japanese studies and cultural heritage (separate degrees) and applying for a minor in english lit (which i plan to take next sem, if they let me). afterwards, i intend to go to culinary school for a course in patisserie so i can take charge of the dessert section in carl and javie's bistro. hehe!

i'm sorry. i think i just wasted your time. my brain is actually quite dead at that moment.
