haha. i was checking mom's e-mail and thought to post this cheesy-but-makes-sense (to me anyway) forward:

A student asked his teacher: What is love?

The teacher said: To answer your question, go to the paddy field, choose the biggest paddy and come back. But the rule is, you can go through them only once and cannot turn back.

The student went to the field and in the first row, he saw one big paddy. But he wondered: there might be a bigger one later. Then he saw another big one; but there may be an even bigger one waiting for him. Later, when he had finished more than half of the paddy field, he started to realize
that the paddy was not as big as the previous one he saw. He knew he had missed the biggest one, and he regretted it. So, he ended up going back to his teacher empty-handed.

The teacher told him: This is love; you keep looking for a better one, but later you realize, you have
already missed the person.

Then the student asked: What is marriage then?

The teacher said: To answer your question, go to the corn field, choose the biggest corn and come back. But the rule is the same as the first, you can go through them only once and cannot turn back.

The student went to the corn field. Careful not to repeat his mistake, when he reached the middle
of the field, he picked a medium-sized corn he felt satisfied with, and came back to the teacher.

The teacher told him: This is marriage: you look for one that is just nice, and you have faith and
believe it is the best.
